Leadership Seminar 
Harassment and Violence at Work: Prevention through System Change 

This interactive, online facilitated training is designed for individuals responsible for developing and implementing workplace responses to harassment and violence. Grounded in two key models from organizational behaviour and organizational theory, the training explores concrete ways to strengthen prevention efforts and support systemic change. The seminar fosters an engaging and interactive environment where participants can exchange ideas, discuss challenges, and gain insights to develop customized prevention strategies tailored to their unique organizational context. 

 

The sessions are facilitated by Dr. Adriana Berlingieri, Research Partner and Adjunct Professor at the Centre for Research & Education on Violence Against Women & Children (CREVAWC) at Western University. Dr. Berlingieri is also the lead of the Respect at Work team.

This literature review presents an overview of the existing academic research on workers’ experiences of sexual harassment to better understand the factors influencing workers’ responses to these forms of harassment. Through an intersectional lens, this review examines the intersection of precarious work and sexual harassment to address and investigate the higher rates of this form of violence reported by workers in precarious work.
